Hello, I received the Amanero, Hermes and S/PDIF boards. Thank you! I received no documentation so I have a couple of questions: 1) I can see pins 3,4 &5 got from the Amanero to the S/PDIF. What is not clear is whether pin 6 or 7 does also. Can you give me the pin connections between the two boards? 2) I am thinking of incorporation the Hermes. I see it utilizes pin 6 from the Amanero. It the connection is indeed from pin 7, i can jumper from 6. Is there anything else I need to know which might exclude using the Hermes between these two boards? 3) What are the power requirements for the boards. I read from the Amanero site that board requires 0.605 W. What is the requirement for the S/PDIF transceiver? 4) If the Hermes is used and stacked to the Amanero, is there any interaction with the clocks? I have a few sheets of TI-Shield and am wondering if it is worth placing some between the two boards. 5) what are the signal levels out of the S/PDIF transceiver board? 6) The isolator IC on the Hermes includes a buffer for 50 Ohm termination. a) Are the inputs to the S/PDIF 50 Ohm also? b) Does this buffer add gain (Hoping) to the output? c) Understanding the I2S lines need to be short as possible, with proper termination, could a length of 3 inches be achieved from Hermes to S/PDIF? d) Would it help to use RG-59 cable or similar between Hermes or Amanero and the S/PDIF to transport the I2S Signal? There is no guide yet that I know of. For now everything I needed for my Amanero / Hermes / Cronus stack I found in the threads at diyaudio which means digging and sorting out what I needed. I copy it all to a word or notepad document for my own reference manual until something better shows up. I'll try and help with what I do know or what I think may help. 1 & 2, you can download the Amanero USB pdf file which shows the pinout and technical specs. Pin 6 is MCLK. Pin 7 is DSD On. IIRC this isn't linked from the main Amanero page. http://www.amanero.com/drivers/combo384-D.pdf4, I can only say I don't have any issues with my stack, no shielding added. Dead quiet, no interrupts. My stack is I2S output if that makes a difference. 5d, I have cut up some older, good quality S Video cables and snagged two pieces of small diameter coax from each cable in various colors. I have used it to connect Teleporter modules to OTTO II and USB to I2S on OTTO II using pin headers. When I use coax and pin headers, all coax grounds are connected to ground pin. If you can do one end U.fl, you can get U.fl to bare end cables. If the U.fl cable is large enough, you can use regular wire strippers to cut and trim. Digikey WM9582-ND. One more question: From the Hermes Amanero B to the S/PDIF transceiver, what are the connections? Also, where can I pick of a 3.3 V to send back to the isolated side of the Hermes from the transceiver?

I don't think you will be able to use the Hermes for isolation here, since the master clock is an input, not an output. You will therefore not be able to pass the Amanero MCK out to the S/PDIF Transceiver.
You can go direct from the Amanero to the Transceiver, however, like this:
GND (Pin 9) -> GND MLCK (Pin 6) -> SCK FSCLK (Pin 5) -> LRCK BCLK (Pin4) -> BCK DATA (Pin 3) -> DIN

I take back what I just said. The WM8804 should not require an MCK input to act as an S/PDIF transmitter.
So, you can try this:
From the Hermes Output:
DCK_OUT (Pin 1) -> BCK D1_OUT (Pin 2) -> LRCK D2_OUT (Pin 3) -> DATA GND (any) -> GND
Than tap power 3.3V from C3 (carefully).
