Hi all,
I just soldered the new 2.1 Placid HD's.
I was looking for a value to adjust the Voltage and Current Potmeters to prior to connecting the AC transformers.
I can only find the HD BP manuals but since they use different voltages as in- and- output I doubt if I can safely copy this data.
Also, when clicking the link provided at the product page, I end up with the older version manual.
Can someone tell me the exact values to begin with for the Placid HD Voltage and Current Potmeters?

Just start ;-)
(If you insists, turn the pot to middle setting - measure the resistance with a DMM)
Start by unconnected load/consumer - ie, just the tranny and the Placid.
Keep an eye on the shunted current. Remember, when running unconnected (no load/consumer), all the current ends up as shunted current - and is converted to heat.
Start by trimming the voltage. Then trim the current to the expected load +~100mA. Then connect load, measure again, trim, measure, trim ;-)

Thx avr300, I trimmed the pots to 500K. Tomorrow I will be connecting them. Hope to receive the Scope Probes too then  Good tip about the shunt current! I will take a look at the actual situation and copy those values. Safes some alterations up and down between the pots. Cheers, Jordo

Those trimmer are 2k.

Oeps, adjusted. That's why I was asking exact values  I was looking at the HD BP scematic. There is no scematic for the HD. So, knowing that using the KOhm function on the DMM helpes to display higher numbers. Fault on fault.... Thx, Jordo

Yes I could imagine but it works with different voltages. I had to be sure and not having a specific manual takes me out of my comfort zone. Some professional deformation  Looking at the HD BP Scematic tough I see two 10K pots at VR3-4 VR1-2 shows 200. I wouldn't be confused if I just had taken a look at the BOM and see 2K pots but .xls doesn't work after W10 was installed I noticed. Thanks! Jordo

Hi Leon, I can't find a specific Manual for the Placid HD not being Bipolar. Placid HD V_2_1 does not exsist or I am overlooking it... Edited by user Saturday, November 7, 2015 2:23:06 AM(UTC)
