Hello,
Aside from turning power amplifiers off first, is there a way to prevent popping noise when turning DAC (Placid/Buffalo III/IVY III) on and off? I don't think this is harmful, but it is annoying.
Also, aside from wasting power, are there any drawbacks from leaving DAC powered on continuously?
Thanks, Doug Riedel

There are already relays on the IVY-III to prevent that - so I am not sure what else could be done.
There is no downside to leaving the DAC on.
