Hello, On Ivy III I would like to use single end outputs + balanced outputs+ and to use headphones also, can i wire headphones out in paralel to balanced outputs, or do I in this case should use a separate Ventus for headphones?
Thanks in advance, Luka.

It is perfectly fine to wire them in parallel - but I would disconnect the headphones when not in use.
Can you clarify if you will be driving the headphones balanced? Or is the desire to do BAL/SE conversion?

Thank you Russ, I would deffinitely disconect them when not in use.
I am not sure which way to drive them, my headphones have a stereo 6,3mm jack, is there a diagram showing how to wire them balanced without the conversion to SE?

Well you generally have to do some special wiring to drive headphone balanced. Like wire them to XML connectors. Otherwise its best to stay single ended. If you are going single ended I would suggest using Ventus.
Cheers! Russ

Ok, but can one Placid HD BP power both IVY III and Ventus or do I need to Placids?

Thank you again for your answers. I have just thought of something - I have Lundahl LL1517 transformers, can I use them to convert balanced to SE output to drive my headphones as SE? Instead of using Ventus that is...

It really depends on the impedance they are meant to drive. But yes - very possibly.

Ok, I think I will go for the Ventus.
Thanks again.
