I am using placid HD to drive 4 IVYs. What should I set current for and how much shunt? Thanks, Doug Riedel

You will require a lot of heatsinking for this, as there will be a lot of shunted current under normal use.
I would set the current to something like 750mV (750mA) with no load connected, then add one IVY at a time (power off when adding each one) and check the output voltage and shunt current, adjusting as needed.
Once you have them all hooked up, shoot for something like 150-200 mA of shunt current (150-200mV at the test points).

Thanks Brian.
I was temporarily using Placid HDBP because my negative side of the Placid HDBP 2.1 was not working. I got proper voltage reading on positive side (apx 15 v) and nothing on negative side with no load attached.
I just ordered today another Placid HDBP because I thought it will be easier to try again instead of troubleshooting. but I would like to use both Placid HDBP 2.1s once I get the first one fixed. On that note, I checked all the QP1/QP2 QN3/QN4 etc and they are all the correct parts. Any other thoughts on what might be causing the dead side?
Thanks, Doug
