Hi all,

I was going trough my Dip Switch Settings and found the most perfect settings (in theory) for my configuration.
Nevertheless I experienced channel dropouts indicated by blinking Lock LED's in turn (Dual Mono). The dropouts could be noted trough the speakers at first.

I am using the Wave IO and Teleporter for the I2s signal to the DAC.
What stranges me is that I have to use the Clock of the WaveIO, setting Dip Sw 2:4 to (OFF) Bypass, to cure this dropout problem.

If I was to ask everybody would tell me to use the internal DAC Clock because this is an excelent Clock off course and it's most close to the DAC itself.

Altough the system works fine at the moment with the switch in bypass, I'm affraid that the BIII DAC chip has been compromised....

I have the firmware chip released in 2013 installed.

Does enybody recognize this, it there something to do or check or is there something I'm overlooking?

Many thanks in advance!

Jordo

I currently still have Dip Sw 2:4 to OFF which means not using the DAC's clock but the Wave I/O's.

When Switching 2:4 to ON I get the drop outs again with the Wave IO.

When using Toslink the Lock LEDs are blinking very rapidly but also very dimmed.
I'm afraid the DAC's (clock) has become unserviceable.

I there something I can do or check?
I cannot swap both DAC's because the have a different config for Master/ Slave Dual Mono.

Thx in advance!
