I am measuring approx 6.4 mega ohm across ground and - and + of the balanced inputs to the IV stage. (when power up)

I just wanted to be certain this is correct. My rudimentary understanding of electronics indicate I should be looking at a high impedance load for the OPUS dac to output too.

Or have I got this the wrong way round.

I have had a problem with a blown Voltage reg on the OPUS analogue output side. Which could have been caused by shorting the output. Hence my reason for asking the question whether input impedance of IV stage I have measured is OK.

Don't want to blow another DAC if this is the cause.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Crawling towards a working DAC.

You can't really measure input/output impedance with a DMM

OK but if at least I don't have a dead short ( 0 ohms) then I should be safe to connect the output of the opus to the IV stage. balanced input.
