I consider to use a Buffalo instead of making my own boards in a special setup.
I plan to use a setup like this :
PC -> USB-2-I2s -> SigmaDSP EVAL board / filter -> Buffalo III 8 channel stereo DAC for sub/high-bass/low-mid/high-mid/tweeter setup -> Lots of single amplifier modules.

Input to Sigma DSP is I2S.
Output is max 8 digital I2S channels with the different frequencies.
To add balanced output and a proper DAC I want to use the ES9018 BIII board.

Any reason, this may be a problem ????

Each speaker has 20 elements and a 18" subwoofer.
I know its a nutcase project, Im looking forward to press play on tape.

That's what is was designed for. It should work just fine.

I need 2 BIII cards, if I need more then 4 stereo DACS. Will this cause issues about timing for the different channels ?
Or I have to do some of the filters the old passive way...

I highly doubt that the difference is going to be substantial. Even if it is, you could use a board for each speaker. And you could also try adjusting the timing in the DSP.

A little confused here.

I want to use 4 I2S inputs at the same time, stereo 24Bit 192KHz or something like that.

And output them all at the same time on analog output 1-8.
Cant find any detailed settings required in the manual" or anything describing my situation.

Reason for this setup is a DSP acting as a 4 way active filter, with some nice options.
Which will output 4 channels of different frequencies to the BIII.

I got my Amanero USB connected to D1 and D2 for testing, and working.

If I move these over to D3/D4, There is no analog output.
May this be fixed with the dip switches, or do I have to add a I2S controller ?

Have you read page 11, specificly the section "TTL level PCM"? You simply don't have 4 I2S inputs, unless you wish to use 4 boards. The board has 1 I2S input, for 8 channels.

To be clear, for eight channels of I2S, you use one Bit clock, one Left/Right (frame) clock, and 4 data lines.

Anyone familiar with SigmaStudio ?

Working on a 4/5 way active filter, but "things" dont behave reasonably.
SISO.... "#¤%&//&%¤#

Whats annoying me is that when I enable/disable outputs, and change balance on pc audio player.
The output doesnt do the same....

balance to left, both speakers on same channel is quiet.
adjust 2 way fiulter frequency, and sometimes it makes a LP filter on left/right channel, and HP on opposite channel.
Sometimes it adds the settings to both speakers.

Just as messy as my explanation....
