Advice for balanced line driver and receiver for audio transmission

Hi everybody,
I'm currently looking for a suitable balanced line driver and an according receiver for my Audiocodec project. The Codec has a differential output which I want to prepare with a balanced line driver to send the signal over approx 2 - 3 meters of symmetric, shielded cable (XLR). On the other side of the cable I want to receive that signal, transfer it to an unsymmetric signal and bring it further to my power amplifier.
I took a closer look on the IVY-III I/V Stage but I am a little curious that it is suitable for driving about 3m of cable. Is it capable of doing so or is that the wrong choice for my task?
Any recommandations are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Lenni

No Ideas? Could anyone tell me whether I am missing any datasheets or some other document that could tell me what the IVY-III I/V Stage is capable off?

It is capable of doing it for sure - but it depend on if your line driver needs a low or a high input impedance.
If you need a high input impedance you could actually adapt the "Retro High Z" to your needs quite nicely. Just omit the filter caps and set the gain you desire.
Cheers! Russ

Hi Russ and thanks for your answer. My Codec can drive a minimum of 3k Ohms so I assume that is exactly what you said? It needs a high input impedance?! The receiver is made from an analog devices SSM2141 and has an input impedance of approx 47k Ohms.
