Earlier, I bought an Opus DAC and power supply for a SACD project that never happened. It ended up setting the board on a shelf for the last couple years.

Recently, my main DAC started acting up and I thought I might bring the Opus out, buy an SPDIF transceiver board and put together a new DAC. Unfortunately, when I picked up the Opus board, I wasn't careful enough with static electricity and a static shock snapped when I picked up the board. I know that static electricity can damage or destroy electronics.

Is there a way that I can check that the board is OK before buying a SPDIF transceiver board? Unfortunately, I don't have any I2S sources where I could just use the parts I have and see if it plays properly. Alternatively, would Twisted Pear check it's operation for me (for a fee of course)? That way, if it was good, I could buy the SPDIF transceiver at the same time.

Thanks in advance.
