I am seeking a way of keeping the digital volume in the B3 as high as possible, and thus, in my setup, lower the gain from the IVY about 6-9db.
Is it possible to achieve this by changing either the I/V Gain resistors (R1-R4) or the second stage gain resistors (R13 to R16) – or both?

Hoping to make things easier. I found this 3-year-old forum post dealing with a similar matter.
Question: I need to reduce output gain on IVI III […] If standard IVI III have 2v at 0 db, then I believe that something around 0.8 v at 0 db could be fine.
Russ: Ok I would leave R13-16 at 180R and adjust R9-12 up to between 750R and 1K. The higher the value the more attenuation. You could go up to 2K with no problem. But 750 will get you close to what you want.
Would that be a solution for me also?

Yes, why not? If it was appreciable back then sure it is now.

Thanks for reply. Yes, you are right. I will try some different values to see what works best.
The resistors I am planning to use don't exst in 750R, only 680 and 820.
What would be best for R1-R4, one of those values or two 1.5k in parallel?
