Hello

The minidsp usbstreamer is an8 channel in x 8 channel out I2S USB interface.

What I need is 2 x SPDiF in and 2 x SPDIF out (4 audio channels in, 4 audio channels out)

So, can I interface 4 x of these transceivers to 1 i2s signal, with 2 input and 2 output?

Is there an issue with clocks?

Hello,

I would also like to use the S/PDIF-transceiver to transform the i2s signal of the minidsp usbstreamer to a s/pdif signal.
If I could use it for this task I would need 4 of them because the usbstreamer has 4 i2s outputs.
I already had a look into the manual, but I still have some questions.
According to the manual I should configure the transceiver as follows:

AIF/MS 1
TXSRC 1
AIFCONF1 0
AIFCONF0 1

Is this correct?

The minidsp usbstreamer can only be configured as master and I would connect the clock lines as follows:

usbstreamer -> s/pdif transceiver
MCLK out -> SCK AIF terminal
LRCK out -> LRCK AIF terminal
SCLK out -> BCK AIF terminal

Is this also correct?

The s/pdif transceiver must run in slave mode since the clocks are provided by the usbstreamer. Is the transceiver running in slave mode, when I configure it like I described it above?

best regards
Alex
