I hear hum noise on my system. I use lector vm-150 power amp, transport pc and opera callas speaker. I tried a number of things. I changed power, interconnect cables I tried difference source I tried different electricity plug I checked internal wiring I still have a problem. It'is not too loud but you can easily hear that in silence. I use rca out , I don't have change for xlr connections because lector has only rca inputs. Lastly, I realized when I remove one of rca humm disappear.

Check for continuity between your RCA jack grounds and the chassis. They should be isolated.

I used dshape neutrik all rca house isolated from the chassis. How can I check contunity ?

It could actually be induced by something outside the DAC.

My Squeezebox was injecting noise into my prototype DAC, drove me crazy trying to find the problem. Perhaps a ground loop? Is the chassis earthed? Edited by user Tuesday, February 25, 2014 7:41:41 AM(UTC)

yes it has chassis earthed. Actually I tried different source which is battery powered. I will try something tonight. One of them is interconnect cable. I use vdh d102 mk2. It is shielded but I try different cables. Other one is house ground connection. I will check it too.

Try measuring the AC voltage between different signal ground points to try to detect a ground loop. Ideally, you should see close to 0 VAC from point to point.
I do not see where the chassis ground is made in the pictures (looks like the ground if the filter is not connected). You can try removing the chassis ground temporarily to see if it alleviates the hum, and to help pinpoint the problem.
