Hi, I'd like to connect an VS1063 to the Opus/WM8741. The V1063 outputs 32fs I2S: 2x16 bit, configurable at samplerate 48/96/192 kHz. Note: it's not right-justified, see: http://www.compuphase.com/mp3/vs10x3_i2s.htmI'm not yet familiar with DAC's, I could not find how to configure the WM8741 to match '32fs I2S' in the datasheet. Can somebody give a clue how to do it? Thanks, Richard.

You'll want to reclock it to 64fs. The Metronome will do that for you.

Hmm, okay, but how do I do that? What is the Metronome? When I connect I2S out from VS1063 and SPI or I2C from a microcontroller (if necessary) to the Opus/WM8741, what's the next step?
1. What sample rate output should I configure at the VS1063: 48, 96 or 192 kHz? 2. What register(s) should I set in the WM8741 so that it accepts 32fs I2S at that sample rate? 2. Do I need to set dip switches on the Opus board?
... or will the WM8741 do the work and autodetect sample rate and format that the VS1063 sends on I2S ?
Sorry for my ignorant questions, I do appreciate your help!
Richard.
