Brian thanks for your prompt response...
I am currently waiting for my, all new, rework/soldering station to arrive and I will try to use it to change them myself... I know I might fail but I will give it a try...
Anyway is there any way I can check the opamps to find out if I fried them already?

Hi

It seems as I also have RETRO boards with 2*OPA1632 and 1*OPA1642 and with the OPA1642 mounted in the input/output-end and OPA1632 in the middle and at the PWR end of the PCP.

I am not able the fix that by myself.

No wonder it didn´t sing.

What can I do?

Thank you very much..superservice.

The retro is up and running with a sweet sound.

I do get at severe background hum though.

The GND lines are connected to true earth (a spear in my backyard) so I don´t get it.

Any tips, tricks or ideas?

The retros are powered by Placid Bipolar psus, also ground connected.

Anybody??

Try leaving the audio ground floating.
