Hello. Since i am from Norway, I'm sorry for my bad english writing.
I have orderd two GB150D amp modules from SKA-audio, and one sps80 power supply from cold amp.
I want to build this in an antique FM radio cabinett. I will use a sonos as the main audiosource. This have toslink out.
The amps will get RCA input (i belive). So I need toslink in, dac, volumecontroll, and RCA output. Also have to get some kind of powersupply for this. My coldamp sps80 is busy with other things.
So what I want to get is something to put between the sonos and my amps, with volumecontroll.
What do I need? I listen to rock, pop and bass-heavy music, and most other music ;)

You could do this with fi. a BIIISE DAC, as that is one of the best documented TPA options (if I may say so). Most if not all of the information you seek is in the documentation.

After what i can read, this has everything I need? The volum module, is it on the board, or can it be placed anywhere?

The volume control is built in to the B-III, and it comes with a pot (and wiring) to control it, which can be placed anywhere.

I guess this is a stupid question, but would I need a preamp module also for my setup?

Ideally you would use either an IVY-III or Legato I/V output stage with the Buffalo. They would provide SE (RCA) outputs and plenty of drive for your amps.

You need all of the items described in the first table in the appendix "Appendix: Bill of materials for stereo mode DAC" plus the Toslink module as mentioned in the second table in that same appendix. And there are the case, wiring and some small parts you'll need. Suggestions for some of the parts you might need are in the appendix "Appendix: Extended bill of materials". You'll not need everything mentioned there though.
