I've finished Buf III with Legato I/V and Placid PS's.
At the moment it is in handmade glued card-box 4mm enclosure until I order PESANTE DISSIPANTE from Modushop.

I'm more than impressed with sound, as well as everybody who have listened to it.

I don't have those audiophile sentences for explanation, in my pocket translator.
But speaking in simple words, Buffalo DAC is much, much better than very popular commercial DAC in 1200$ range with high review ratings. It has more details and is more pleasure to listen in direct listening comparison.
Somehow i have expectect that, based on knowledge I can read in posts from Russ, and Brian also.

Just to add, this is without Trident v3 and AVCC 2.1 which i ordered and got it but still didn't replaced.


Now, we came to something which i didnt expect. :)
Sympatico Amp, with 2 antek 400w trafos.

This plays so good, and i don't have any complaints about its sound, even listening it next to high end audiophile stereo amp in $10k range I own.

Amazing.

Here are some pictures, i hope i will order real enclosure and put it together.

LeonvB., yes but for me dissipante looks much better. Just my visual perception.

One tip for everybody, which is already written by many people.
It is really important to twist cables.
I had a little noise on speakers.
After i twisted all cables in Sympatico it disappeared.

I will do the same thing in DAC
