Hi to all ....
I'm Francesco, an italian user, ... i'm planning my first multichannel DSP, and i want use Nanodigi model of MINIDSP.
It has 4 spdif output channel.
I would like BIII dac, ... now the question
first of all i have to convert spdif signal to I2S, .. is it right?
If right, someone has already done it? can suggest me a great converter?
About power, what's the best setup for BIII, Trident Shunt Regulator?

Hi Francesco.
The easy way to obtain I2S signals perhaps would be feed those signal from pins of AKM chip of Nano Digi. You can make a question in DIYAudio to the developer of Nanodigi. Also, if you know what the AKM chip, you can see the data sheet.
Other solution is to use one spdif receiver for each spdif signal. The problem is that one of receivers must be working in master mode and another in slave mode. I think for this task you can use the Twisted Pear Spdid 4:1 Mux receiver or the Spidif Transceiver. But is it better than Russ or Brisan confirm that their products can be used for this application.

If you haven't already purchased the nanoDigi the next version which should be in soon will have points on the board to get the I2S from although the Devteam are not going to advertise it as they are concerned people with little experience will get in too deep & they are not prepared to support it at this stage. How many channels are you planning? Hi ... excuse for my late .... thank you for your attention .... I have not nanoDigi .... and in the meantime i planned to buy a minisharc kit that works at 96khz and has 4 I2S out. I'm planning to have 8 channels, and now the question .... can i have 4 I2S in Channels and 8 channels out concurrently working???? Just because i need them for Low - Mid - High and Subwoofer way ...
