Christmas is coming and on my wishlist is a universal V-out DAC for my Lundahl output transformers. Before doing my order I want to make sure that my deliberations make sense:

As digital sources I have a CDP and an Amanero asynchronous USB to I2S converter. I'd route the SPDIF line from the CDP via the Transceiver and the I2S lines from the Amanero to the OTTO. On I2S I'd use the SCK, SD and WS lines only. From the OTTO I'd route SCK, SD and WS to the Metronome, clocking would be done by the Metronome. From the Metronome SCK, SD, WS and MCK go into the Opus.

Would that work? I'm not sure regarding the MCK lines from S/PDIF Transceiver and USB to I2S ... d'oh!

Would it make sense to slave the Amanero to the Metronome clock or vice versa?

BTW: What IC is used on the OTTO II?

Your basic configuration would work. You are correct in leaving the MCK lines out from the two sources.

I am not sure, without doing some refresher reading, about slaving the clocks, but it's definitely not necessary.
