Hi Russ,

I confirmed to work DSD and PCM data in Buffalo 3SE but SPDIF doesn't work.
I connected CD transport signal to SPDIF on Buffalo 3SE and removed pin between IP and S
but it showed any response. Please tell me about how I can do.

It should work, as I test with S/PDIF before shipping.

Is your CD-transport set for PCM output (if it is adjustable)?

Do the Lock or AutoMute LEDs light?

Hi Guys,
I hope it is OK to jump into this thread - it sounds like it is in the same family. If I get Mother Board with a S/PDIF output and feed the S/PDIF of the B IIISE will I be able to pass all 24/194 & DSD files? Will this be a compromise or less crap the better?
Thanks,
David

Any normal consumer level SPDIF carrying stereo PCM audio will work just fine.

Some blu-ray and DVD players will try to pass LPCM(for surround) through the SPDIF, of course, this won't work. The ES9018 will not know how to decode it. :)
