Hi, I've just bought a BIII kit from a friend as he is not motivated to finish his project...
Recently I started studying the integration guide and the kits manuals to realize what I'll need to execute this project, so I come up with some parts that I've just ordered (Ivy board, placid hd and hd bp, sidecar, etc).

As there is no 4xS/Pdif converter available to buy at the TPA store, I ordered one Toslink and two single spdif level converter (one will be defined as AES), so I can use them with the sidecar.

On the I2S connector of sidecar I plan to plug the output of a OTTO II, that will switch between a teleporter and an Amanero board.

As all of this is very new to me and, I'm not sure all spdif level will match (I'm a little confused about the commercial x ttl at the kits), I'd like to hear from you guys if I can go ahead this way...

Thanks in advance and feel free to advise me on a better solution...

Regards,

Adriano

Sounds like a good plan. Do you plan to use a controller to set all of the switches?

Yes Leon, the "package" I bought went with an Arduino and a TFT 3.2"... I'm getting crazy trying to learn all this... But my plan is to use the arduino to control all "switching" stuff... ;)

I have used the Hifiduino code for my builds & have found it challenging, mainly because I didn't know anything about writing code before I started, I have had lots of help on the way.

The Hifiduino code is the original code (written by GLT) that a lot of people have started with (like CE-Designs) and modified to suit their own setup requirements. You can either stick exactly to what Hifiduino has done hardware wise & then you wont have to change the code, or if your game, (or can write code) start with the Hifiduino code and change it to suit your setup.

I can help a bit if need be.

Thanks DQ828,

I made a try with CE-Designs for a quick and comprehensive solution (at least seemed to be...), and will work on a parallel project with hifiduino for a DIY preamp that is on my todo list...

All parts are ordered and may arrive in a few days... I'll post here the progress and count on all specialists on the forum to help me make it work ;)
