I’m reaching the final stages of assembling my DAC.
In the section called “Preparing the Buffalo III boards…” of the Integration Guide the second step is to place the jumpers (for stereo or dual mono) however multi channel requires a variable number of jumpers depending on the number of channels.
I’m planning to continue and enhance my build in the future (add Arduino control and probably turn it into a dual mono).
I would like to know if there is a way to dynamically configure the number of channels without having to solder the jumpers?
Can the dual mono configuration turned into a multi channel configuration where each of the channels will be combined from two DAC of outputs?
Do the LEDs have any role other then providing indications? Can I use, for example, the “2-bit selector board” without soldering/connecting the LEDs?
Thanks, Mickey.

I suppose you could use some sort of external switching to go back and forth, but there is no really clean easy way to do it.
You could just use two of the DAC channels when in stereo mode... probably the best way to go.
