Please give me some advice.
I need 3.3V / 600mA. What should I change in Placid HD v1.0?

Thank you.

Hi Vitali,

600mA is quite a lot but I think the Placid HD can handle it as long as you keep your Shunt Currents low, install larger heatsinks and supply enough ventilation.

Mine are runnen at approx 550mA with enlarged coolers and Shunt Currents of 50mA.

The Integration Guide shows partnumbers of the larger coolers and there are even any longer available.
The temperature should not exceed 75 Deg. Celcius.
Mine run at 55 deg with the cover on the casing installed.

Also ref to the Placid manual for adjustments to the boards before enlarging the currents.

You should at least supply 15VAC to the board.

To be sure you can ask Russ or Brian to do some calculations for you.

Success,

Jordo

The new fixed resistors measure different when dac is powered down. On the positive rail things look ok with still 560R, BUT on the negative rail the numbers is 450R.
