Hi
I have a BII+Volumite+Legato (works very well - great sound!)
I use a motor-pot to control the volume.
Now I have bought a Nanodigi, using it as a 2-way digital crossover, so I need a second DAC.
Can I buy a BIIISE and combine it with my existing BII?
Can/should I run masterclock between the DAC:s (pro/cons)?
The idea is to use the second pot-track for BIIISE
Do they have the same charateristic when it comes to volume control?

TBH, if you're going to the expense of a new DAC. You might as well get a standard buffalo III (more input and output channels) and sell your Buff II. Save some money and complexity. bonus.

I don't think that Buffalo 3 can process more than one input at a time, so I need 2 dacs to make what I wrote in the question. Or is there another way

This should work fine. Volume control is the same. In order to avoid any issues with pot tracking (slight variances between the two pot tracks), you can use the same pot wiper output for both DACs. Join the power grounds of both DACs, then run a wire from the Volumite's pot wiper pin to the center pin of the pot connector on the B3se. Or you can use the second track as you normally would. Either way will work.

Sharing master clock between both DACs would not be worth while.

I'll use the same pot voltage as you metioned to avoid channel differences!
