I have a BIIISE in combination with a Legato 3.1.
Balanced out works fine, offset can be adjusted to zero without any problem. Single Ended output however can't be adjusted (on both sides) and has 3,78VDC offset.
What am I doing wrong? And were to look to solve this problem...

Looks like you forgot to install J5 and J6.
From the manual:
Completely omitting only the SE buffer: Omit: IC2, IC3, and optionally L1 and L2. Then install jumpers at J5 and J6.

One other note - I like to thermally couple QN2/3 and QN5/6.
Either with suitable adhesive or some heat shrink tube.

Can I stick the left channel of my BIIISE in the right channel of the Legato to make sure the BIISE has both channels working?

I test my DAC board by touching the outputs with headphone wires, while music is playing.

It's an experiment which relies on observation and gives a definitive result. Besides, Brian recommended the method to me and it enabled me to confirm that my Buffalo II was working. If you only test via a line-stage, you can't be sure where the fault lies.

Well, I'm not an electronics engineer so I could well be wrong of course... But... I have no sound from the left channel. So if I touch the BIISE left output connector sticking out on the topside of the BIIISE I guess I won't be hearing anything if the Legato's left channel isn't working...
So my idea was to lift the BIIISE from it's connectors, move it to the right so Legato's right channel connector fits in BIIISE left channel connector. Would this work also without damaging anything?

I would just test the DAC indpendantly. Wire it is a voltage output with coupling caps - or use a small speaker(one of those tiny 16ohm jobbies or similar) wire from + out to -OUT (no gnd). Even an old headphone transducer will work fine.

Let me translate this to "Jip en Janneke" which is Dutch for "so easy even someone like myself can understand".
I connect a a speaker with a cap to + and - of the BIIISE, play music and see what happens. Is that correct?

No cap required for the speaker method.
Only required f you were going out to an amp.

Well, strange things are happening. Left channel disappeared and appeared again. Than there was a difference in volume between both channels and the volume was really low. Later on, while listening, the volume suddenly went up and now everything is as it should be. Maybe I should leave those funny pink pills in the box...
Overall, when everything is working properly, I find the Legato very pleasant to listen to. There is also a downside: it does not play as loud as a cd-player. I've noticed this remark in other topics also. I did not find the resistor values to put up the output to the (more or less) same output as a cd-player. If these values are available could you please point me to them or repeat them here?
Again, I really like the BIIISE and Legato. I'm also tempted to try an IVY to see which one I like best...

I've switched from IVY to Legato in last days. It's more difficult to build and setup, but I 'feel' that I like its sound more than from IVY.
Try to measure offsets on Legato outputs. The issue with Left channel might be related. It might vary a little if it gets warmer.
