How do i connect up the volumite if I have the Buffalo taking sound from my i2s source? Is this possible?

It does not matter what source you are using. :)

The Volumite connects to the I2C terminals near the controller.

Just connect the Volumite up the SDA/SCL/GND signals on the Buffalo and your ready to go.

If you have a fourth (VDD) terminal on your Buffalo you can use that to power the Volumite and omit and jumper the VREG on the Volumite as per the manual. If you have an older buffalo just use the same power supply as you use for VD to power the Volumite and include the optional VREG on the volumite.
