Hi, Russ! The same problem as I had 8 months ago: first the sound started to interrupt spontaneously and then after the DAC restart I've got the situation as described above. D1 replacement with new LED didn't help because it went out also in 3 seconds as like as 2 next ones. Now voltages across R4 and R5 with burned D1 are 0.68V and 0.51V appropriately. Voltage on AVCC input is 5.45V, on the output - 0.83V. I need your opinion what is the matter and advise how to repair the unit! Thanks in advance! You probably have something other than the LED wrong.... Your best bet is to replace your damaged unit.
