felipe - I am trying hard - but it is very hard to follow your posts... I have no idea exactly what the test conditions are and how you have your DAC setup. if the firmware is working (easy to vefify by observing I2C signal with your scope) and the DAC jumpers are correct. Then the DAC will work as designed as long as it has not been damaged. You should be checking the output of the DAC itself first - not the Legato. It could be that the Legato itself is damaged. I'm sorry, English isn't my native language, I try to explain me better: I used WaveIO USB-I2S also with S/PDIF output, ths scope mesures shows that I have I2S haves half the signal S/PDIF, I mind it's not Legato problem because I2S & S/PDIF was measured with 1kHz 0dBs FS, that's demonstrate to me that the problem is the BIII, any suggestion to fix? About the difference between SE & Balanced signal can be the Legato, any idea to fix? I am really very angry, if you can not help me on-line, .I send you back both devices in order that you fix the problems. With the rest of devices (and they are a lot of) that I bought you I haven't had so many problems as with the BIII and the Legato without caps. Waiting that you understand my position. also -to properly measure balanced signals you need to combine two channels and view the difference. If your scope setup for that? I only see two clips. There should be 4 (or possibly 3). Also you need to be sure your scope can handle the common mode DC. Most cannot. Edited by user Saturday, December 29, 2012 7:22:40 PM(UTC)

I need a second probe? I have now only one probe on hand. I posted only the measurements of right channel, I measured also left channel and measurments are like the pics posted of right channel. Edited by user Saturday, December 29, 2012 7:32:28 PM(UTC)

Have you checked the I2C signals to see if the firmware is working?

Can you shoot a picture of the switches and controller header.
Also if you turn off SPDIF detection does it still lock onto SPDIF?

If when you switch off SPDIF auto detection it is still detecting SPDIF there there are at least two possibilitites:
1) the DAC I2C input (not I2S) is damaged... this is not very likely, but possible. 2) the micro controller is not working (not likely since it was just replaced).
one other remote possibility is that the port expander has been damaged... But this does not seem likely as it is only configured for input.
In any case it sounds as if your DAC is not being programmed... Either because it is damaged, or something else is interfering with its operation.
