Does anyone have any advice or pointers on soldering U.FL mini BNC sockets to the Buffalo II for i2S input from Lucian's WaveIO USB to I2S/SPDIF board?

Great video. (You need some kind of image stabilization or a smaller camera ;-)

I need a better lens, so I can move the camera back a bit... kept knocking it with my hand.

Buffalo-II PCb has no provision for u.fl.
I can't think of a good way to mount them.

You need to get yourself something like this, but then a version for the BII. I don't think it exists, but it can be made quite easily. |

Hi I did solder u.fl receptacles in sidecar. I did this way: -Cut a piece of any resistor lead or can be same gauge wire -Get something to isolate receptacle ground from the up board sidecar connection, i used a spare mica from a regulator/heathsink kit -Clamp the receptacle in position and insert the wire in the back of the board and solder it to the back of the receptacle signal pin and board connection -test for non continuity to ground -Then solder a wire, laterally, on the receptacle ground, taking care not to interfere with connection fitting. -Remove the mica isolation -Had to use magnifying x3 gear Not easy but worked, hope my explanation was understandable. Cheers
