Hi all, Now I have a more specific question about my headphone story. Here is a hookup sceme of the Ventus EZ in combination with the BIII, IVYIII Dual Mono Setup. If I dim the RH channel on my PC Soundcard I hear the LH channel trough the LH speaker. That's Correct. If I dim the LH speaker I hear the RH channel trough both speakers. This is strange is'nt it? When I do soundtesting trough soundtests on the internet I have the same. If I disconnect the LH or RH TTL Level Toslink, directly connected to the DAC, it's the same. If I have my playback trough the End-Amp and speakers all is correct. (Note that I have inverted the input signals of the RH channel on the Ventus. This improved the sound drastically) Hope someone sees what is heappening... Thx, Jordo Jordo attached the following image(s): hookup sceme.png (252kb) downloaded 15 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

I am going to try it with a high Ohm headphone of 300 Ohm or so. Maybe that will help? The Hifiman I tried was 38 Ohm... Someone on another forum discovered a little mistake in the connection on the Jack. Here is the corrected sceme. Edited by user Friday, November 9, 2012 2:22:47 PM(UTC)

Are you sure you have the BIII setup correctly for dual mono?
Do you have the address jumper closed on one channel?

Hi Russ, Thanks for your reply. When going trough all the set-ups for the DAC boards I noticed that I forgot to install the adress jumper on the RH DAC Board after I made some switches from the Left and Right DAC Boards for troubleshooting. The firmware chip is installed on the LH board. I have corrected this 2 weeks ago and the Adress jumper is now connected on the RH board. The LH is not shorted. With normal playback trough the speakers all works normal. Tomorrow I wil re-meassure the values of the resistors on the Ventus Boards. Maybe something went wrong here. The Adress jumper is placed but it is not an original jumper. I just connected it with some solder and a Molex pin. Thx, Jordo Edited by user Monday, November 19, 2012 4:30:46 PM(UTC)
