Hi guys,
Quick question about the AES/EBU input on the 4:1 mux board - that's a 110 ohm balanced input, correct?

I have question according to terminator resistors in AES input, there is 53R serial and 47R paralel. I think, resulting impedance will be 100R which is in 20% tolerance of 110R impedance of AES/EBU, is it right?
the second thing I don't understand; if I replace the 53R in series with a wire, I will get only 47R impedance for SPDIF input?

The values were chosen based on Cirrus guidance when I called their support engineer. :)
Basically we turn the balanced AES/EBU into single ended and apply the divider to ensure safe levels for the chip.
So yes, if you jump the series resistor you will only have the shunt resistor for impedance and the signal amplitude will not be divided.
