What symptoms do you have that point to the uC failing?

well, certain signal seems to tell me that it comes from the chip. everything coming in the dac chip is fine, but I have nothing on the output... I have replaced the oscilliator, I thought that was the problem, but it didnt helped...

Even without the uC (firmware) installed, you should be able to use S/PDIF and get a signal at the output. That would be a good thing to test.
I can certainly send a replacement firmware chip, but my guess is there is something else at play. A little more detail about your setup could help pinpoint the problem.

ok, the atmel is not the fault. I think I found it
it may be one of my tridents. on the back of the trident in fault, its written 1.2 volts. right now, it outputs 0.4v. Could that be the problem?

In which position is the 1.2V Trident installed?

ok, so here what I did: with 5.3v in, the out is 1.2 v
but when I put a resistor of 100ohm with a little charge, it drops at zero... so its not normal right?

Trident 1.2 volts regulator module. Normal behavior ---> Power input source 5.3 volts, output source 1.2 volts, output current 100ma maximum. Trident failure. Abnormal behavior in circuit ---> Power input 5.3 volts, output 0 volt. Module removed ---> Power input 5.3 volts, without load ---> output 1.2 volts, with load (100 ohms, about 10ma) ---> output drop to 0 volt. Can someone tell me if the following resistors on my module 1.2v Trident are the good one? R1=220 R2=1K R3=1470 R4=10 R5=15 R6=15 R7=1 R8=100K R9=1K
