Hi all, I want to buy a headphone for my Ventus EZ. Will this headphone Amp be suitable for driving Electrostat or planar “Orthodynamic” headphones? Thx, Jordo Edited by user Monday, October 15, 2012 9:03:16 PM(UTC)

To reply to myself and for future refference;
I do not think that Plannars, or Orthodynamic headphones, are suitable for the Ventus EZ. I have tested the Hifiman HE-500. According to the specs they need a 2-3 Watt amp. The Ventus EZ delivers a 3,6 Watt by 15VDC (250mA). This is 20% more than required but the sound seems to deform when higher volume levels are desired.
