Hi!

My plan was to use one Placid HD for the buffala and one for the exaDevices. Is it a better solution to use one Placid HD for the two togheter, and us a trident shunt for the exaDevice?

Using a Trident would actually work pretty well, then.

That would work as well, but the regulation will be provided by the LD1117 regulator, which won;t be as quiet as a Trident (if that matters to you).

Power to the exa must be connected to the DACs digital power supply positive terminal (as per exa guide). Not sure about buffalo III but I have the buffalo II, and I have it hooked up to the I2C header power which seems to be internally connected to the DVCC trident output.

The important element is that the ground is shared. Either approach (I2C header or Trident fed from main supply) will work fine.

On the B-III, the DVCC Trident does not power the I2C header, as it does on the B-II.
