Hallo,

Unfortunately, I shorted the input and output of the local DVCC-Regulator for a second when measuring the voltages.
A small dose of magic smoke was released.
So I guess that the VDCC line saw 5.4 Volts instead of the usual 3.3Volts.

At least I "think" this is what happened.

Now I measure almost no voltage at the DVCC-Reg-Output (versus ground), and - funny thing - the AVCC regs show only 2.8 Volts at the output.

So: What could have happened?
Can the DVCC line stand a little bit of overvoltage? Maybe it is just a defect reg?
Or should I order a new buffalo-board immediately....

Thanks,
Florian

It could just be a dead DVCC reg.

Is the voltage input into the AVCC module sagging?

The input to both AVCC modules is still 5.35V - output 2.8V

I will desolder the VDCC reg and use an old trident, to try if it still works....

Hallo,

ok, the buffalo is still fine, no damage done.
I am using a trident V1 now. Also, the AVCC-Voltage is back to normal.

I am really glad nothing happened.

Cheers

That is great news! Still, I would replace that DVCC trident when you can. The new ones are a lot better.
