Is ti possible to configure an older Placid 2.0.1 for 5v and 0.6amp [SOLVED]

1. Is it possible to configure an older Palcid 2.0.1 to provide 5vdc and 0.6amp?
(For and WaveIO XMOS USB card.) Is there anything I need to change? What about shunt?

2. If I need to parallel up the transformer is it 9v 0.8a is it Orange & Red to + and Black/Yellow to - ?

1. I don't think the Wave IO card consumes 600mA, as it's also possible to use it bus powered. That should mean it's below 500mA. Placid is a bad choice for this load: I would suggest using an HD version.
2. Description for parallel connection can be found in the B3 guide, there's a whole chapter about power.

Thanks for your help LeonvB, it would appear that the board could consume more than 500ma and therefore will not work with some USB outlets. I guess this is not a problem as most will be using external power anyway. Oddly some of the newer Mac's can supply more than 500ma when required on some of their USB ports.

That is not so odd: the new USB 2.0 "charging" connectors (color code: yellow) do 1000mA. And normal USB 3.0 (blue) does 900mA. Plus the new USB 3.0 PD spec goes all the way up to 100W.
Please beware that the old USB specification just says 100mA max. per device, with up to 5 devices on the bus. So old computers will have problems. New ones should have no problem providing the power for the device.
