Try temporarily connecting the inputs of the IVY-III to GND. Leave the DAC off.
If you power the IVY-III alone do you still get the Buzz?

I am afraid I don't understand what you are asking. Where are the inputs on the Ivy 3 and how do I tie them to ground?

They are the headers that attach to the DAC. Labeled + G - connect + and - to G.

OK, I have hooked up the Ivy 3 by itself and I get little to no hum in either speaker. Probably from my tube amps.
I now have much interference in both channels with now about half music although the left channel is going in and out. I have resoldered again the dac board etc and still the same. Have taken out the sidecar and hooked up to the spdif 4 directly and I get the same noise and partial music.

I am starting to think the problem is likely interaction with your amp.

It is not the amps. I switched in a solid state Parasound and the same problems exist.

How about trying to go all the way back - to before post #1, where you had the system running without the hum.
Take the boards out of the box and see if you can get them to run silently.

They are now running silently, but now the problem is the output is full of distortion and each channel goes in and out and the volume is very faint.

Sounds to me like a short.
You have to go over your soldering again. Carefully check for solder bridges.
