Hello - As I am making progress on my project, I am getting to the point where I am starting to consider the layout and available real-estate.
With that in mind I need to consider if I might want to expand to a dual mono set-up. What degree of audio improvement should I expect if I invest the extra time and money to build a dual mono set up vs a single stereo set-up?
Thanks,
Rick

Good question. The increase in complexity from stereo to dual mono is quite large, the payoff is real, but not exactly large. Maybe a couple DB of dynamic range. I hope that helps.
