I bought a Buffalo III kit, with Placid HD BP and IVY III. Everything seems to work properly, there's only one problem: the sound quality is poor and the output signal level is very very low. I have to turn the volume knob on the preamp, more than half to ear something. The low band is almost absent.
I quote some value:
Tp-Shunt_CCS_NEG: 230mA Tp-Shunt_CCS_POS: 228mA Tp_shunt out neg: -155,7 mA Tp_shunt out pos: +151,7 mA
Vout_POS: 14,88 (under load, after 30 minutes) Vout_NEG: 14,84 (under load, after 30 minutes)
anyone can help me? Thanks

Did you place the jumpers J1 to J12?

I think you'll have to describe your setup a little more, and preferably add some pictures.

This is my setup Source: SDtran384 v.3 --->DSD/PCM--->Buffalo III----->IVY III----->Doge 8 preamplifier. I think that there is no problem in the digital chain; I suppose that the problem is the IVY III; Buffalo III decodes 32/384 Khz and DSD256 signals coming from SDTrans384 SS Player. Check the supply voltage right at the BAL/SE opamp. Also make certain your DAC outputs and the IVY-III inputs are making good contact.
Also please check the DAC itself, including AVCC.
You can test the DAC with no I/V stage by using an AC coupling cap at the outputs.

Thank you Russ,
contacts have been checked and look good. I must postpone all other tests in ten days, when I go back home.
Practically, what means "check the DAC itself?
Do you see anything wrong in the pics?
