LeonvB excellent Integration Guide explains how to set up Buffalo III DACs for dual-mono operation:-
"Only a DAC board with both the firmware controller, and L5 in place and R7 not shorted, will respond to the dip switches"
L5 & R7 refer to the Trident 1.1 component layout on LeonvB's diagram.
Does R7 (1R0) on Trident 3.0 perform the same function and will need to be jumpered on the right hand board
(along with ADDR shorted & firmware chip removed etc.) for dual-mono operation? Thanks for any assistance forthcoming.

If you follow the hyperlink you'll see the R7 and L5 are on the DAC board, below a Trident but NOT on it.

Thanks LeonvB, for the pointer to the right place. I thought it strange that this query had not been raised before.
