Hi, Is it possible to build a combined dual mono and 6channel dac with two buff dac's and 3 legato boards? The intention would be to in somewhat user-friendly way, be able to feed my 5.1 tube preamp with stereo signals from a dual mono configuration, and be able to switch to multi-channel 5.1 signals from one b3 board with 2 channel out, and one b3 with 4 channel out(center, L&R-back and sub) If the answer is yes: Do I need to consider any possible challenges or extra items needed for the build? I have a kit ready with one buffalo and legato, but started playing with the idea of making a combined stereo/multi-channel dac, I have no experience with diy yet  Thanks. I’m not sure whether the lack of responses are due to my poor English / incomprehensible question, or any other reason, but I’ll try once more :-)
Can I make a solution based on two buffalo3 boards that can be configured normally as dual mono solution, and when needed as 2channel + 4 channel output?

Yes, but not easily. Without prior experience I would suggest building a dual mono first. You can always try adding extra I/V stages, relays, a microcontroller, etc. for the switching to a multi-channel setup.
