Are your Tridents version 1 ?

If so, do you have the through-hole resistor mounted ?

Post a closeup picture of the Tridents.

I have the V1.0.

What do you mean with trough hole resistor? I kow what it means but I can read it nowhere in the manual...
It say's make sure you got the correct resistor mounted on R4.
When meassuring R4 I get nearly no value and one of the little LEDs is willing to illuminate.

Wat do I meassure by QP1 and QP2 actually?

Sick
I thought those holes where for the QP1 and QP2 and that are was a mini resistor installed at R4 but now I see it's not...
I've got 6 baskets with resistors in my hand now for the tridents....

Should I try or is it too late now?...

Concentrate on R4 now.

When you received the Tridens from TPA - wasn't there one leaded resistor in the package pr. Trident ?

No,no it's never too late. Solder in those resistors - and prepare for sound.

I have mine mounted to the back of the shunt.

(sorry about the dust, Whistle )

(edit: uploaded a new picture - now you can't see the dust Drool )

I see no dust :)

Ok, I mounted the resistors on the Tridents.

Can I test for correct values before connecting them to the DAC?

Yes, if you know what you're doing ;-)

Feed them (MAX, absolutly MAX 5.25v, better be safe and run them at 5.00v) at Vd-GND, and measure the output at Vdd-GND.

Don't run them for long without load.

Ok, I adjusted the Placid HD to 5,00V.

Can I now power the DAC with or without the Tridents installed?

No, you can power the Tridents without installing them in the DAC. That will make sense. Powering the DAC without the Tridents, will not bring you any news.

But listen, are those resistors the original ones ? And are you sure which resistors are for the 1.2v and which are for the 3.3v ?

If yes/yes/yes, everything should be fine and ready to power up.

(I have to go now, won't be at the forum again until evening)

I have installed the original parts.
I had found 6 baskets with the placards for the Tridents on them. All with one resistor with correct vallues.
I meassured them for correct resistance.

VDD has the 10 Ohm resistor and the other two have the 10 Ohm resistors installed now.

yes/yes/yes.

Ok I will power them up now :)

The resistors for the 1.2v IS different from the resistors for the 3.3v.

Just don't break it now. You're pretty close to sound.

I wrote it the wrong way,

VDD had 10 Ohm resistors and the other two 20 Ohm resistors.

Now they draw current so I had to re-adjust the Placids.

The Mute LED is ON.

All the Tridents are giving the correct poweroutputs....

Lets check my DIP SW settings and roll! Pray

Ok, the Mute LED Stayes on with the Toslink directly connected to the DAC D1...

Still no music but we are some closer now...
