Why not post a pic on here and we can check it out just to be sure
Its posible the reversed diode may have damaged the regulator

Have you measured the RAW DC voltage going to the regs input pin?

I'm planning to have a separate box for the PS (eagerly waiting for my order :-) ) . I've chosen the kit with two LCBPS and one LCDPS. My question is should I bring one ground to the DAC or three?
My guess is that one is enough and so I could used a 7 pins XLR.
