Sorry for this question, but I just don't understand. I bought the sidecar and the 4 spdif board/selector sitch setup. There is a cable that goes from the selector switch to the sidecar. How do you wire the female plug portion of this setup?

I will be glad to help, but I am just not exactly understanding the question. Can you clarify?

There are blue colored plugs (2 0f them). I don't remember if they were in the sidecar package or the 4 position selector switch bags. On the switch selector you solder a 4 pin header. You need to run 4 wire into the blue colored plug(s) and the plug goes into the selector switch on one end and elsewhere on the other. I do not know how the wires are suppose to be secured into the plug.
Thanks,
Mark

The four wire connector from the selector switch actually attaches to the BIII DAC EXT_IO board header. Check out this thread for details. http://www.twistedpearau....aspx?g=posts&t=2134My selector switch kit had the Blue connectors along with a four color ribbon cable. Seperate the ribbon cable wires about 1/4" from the end and push the wires into the slots on the top of the connector terminals. I used a small tool for pushing wires into Cat5 wall jack connectors, but would guess a small screwdriver would work. Take care not to spread the slot, just push the wires into into the slot. No need to remove the insulation off the wires. You can use one of the selector switch positions to actuate the Sidecar. That requires changing to a lower value resistor on the Sidecar (1K) so it would work with the 1.9v off the LED header of the selector switch. Is that what you are intending to do? Thanks for the heads up. I think the blue plug is beyond me. Eyes and hands not up to the task. I think I will just solder it.
Thanks again,
Mark

I got it. Guess I misunderstood how you said to do it.
Thanks!
