hello folks (B&R) have been some discussions lately regarding the need for adding capasitor on the the tridents and avcc outputs reg the avcc I just today discovered that there actually are 2 outputs: the avcc 3.48vdc and the dvcc 3,3vdc when discussing adding a filter cap on the output, I guess most people have added the electrolytic between gnd and the closeest output corresponding with the below avcc point on the dac board however nobody have discussed the possibbility of adding another one between gnd and the second one, corresponding with the below dvcc 3,3vdc is there any point in adding another elytic here as well? best Leif

The output of DVCC gets fixed together with adding capacitor to the AVCC output.
But as the Russ says, he does not need adding capacitors there. I've added it, due to interference of some radio/tv/... local transmitter (probably).

No, there are not 2 outputs on the AVCC. DVCC is not used at the AVCC shunt. It's an output from the DAC board. Leave it alone, it has nothing to do with the AVCC. Edited by user Sunday, March 11, 2012 2:51:43 AM(UTC)

Is the DVCC pin not the input on the AVCC shunt module ?

DVCC pin is not used on AVCC module. It is there for those who much wish to use it as a voltage reference in there own power supply. The board is very DIY friendly. :)

If the new Tridents benefit so much by the new design it would be nice if you design some new AVCC moduls as well.
Analog supply is even more important.
Any chance for that ?
