As I wait for the delivery of kits to assemble a Buffalo III, I'm collecting the other parts that will be needed to build this DAC. One item I have spent a lot of time searching for is an on-off front panel switch. I have been impressed by the round push button switches with LED illumination on some of the builds in the Project Gallery. They seem to be very attractive as well as functional. However, I would appreciate feed-back about any type of switch that others have found worked well in an application similar to the one I'm plannig to build. At this point, I have not ruled out any type of switch.
I will be truly grateful for your help. Thank you --

This is my standard power switch for most small projects: http://www.mouser.com/Pr...HTa58LA%252bb0lCnw%3d%3dEasy to install, internal LED, not too big, not too small, decent current capabilities, good looking. Not as blingy as the tamper resistant switches, but also 1/10th the cost. I bough a bag of 25 and they are always around. Side story: One time, I actually removed the front lens and internal LED, and added a bicolor LED, refilling the lens space with clear epoxy. I wired the switch to be red when power was on, but no DAC lock, then turn green when locked. You could actually do that with many different switches. Just reminded of it now... Thank you Jeff and Brian. You have given me several good choices. Now I'll have to figure out which will be my preferred solution.

Thanks Steinholien for your suggestion. I certainly like the black look of this switch; however, the increased complexity of implementation and the space requirements of the additional components (I have limited space in the case that I've chosen) would make this choice problematic.
