When using The TOSLINK Optical Input Module to Buffallo, I presume I set this to TTL SPDIF rather than Normal SPDIF?

Correct. :) You can wire it up to D1 and leave the SPDIF switch open. But it should actually work fine even into the SPDIF terminal as usual.
