Hi,

I just put together my latest project which is another combined DAC / amplifier.

I am waiting for the new S/PDIF mux to become available and in the meantime just have hooked up a Buffalo II to the optical receiver. All my other builds use I2S so I never really caught up on the long winded discusson around S/PDIF, comparator, etc.

For this simple configuration how do I wire up the optical receiver? To the S/PDIF input or the data input? With what setting of the switches? Right now I am using the S/PDIF input and are getting glitches.

Any projections on the USB module and/or the S/PDIF mux.

Cheers

Thomas

Okay, I looked it up. The Toslink module is putting out a TTL level signal so the way to hook it up is directly to D1 bypassing the comparator.

Nice build! Yes, with the Toslink module you can and should go direct to D1.
