When I measure the shunt current across R3 I get 60ma, but when I play music (spdif from pc sound card), the shunt current instantly drops to 30ma, with or without an amplifier connected. The voltage is constant at 5.45, everything sounds fine, just wondering if this is normal.

Thanks

Dave

I turned up the current across r8 to 360ma and now the shunt current is constant at 50ma across r3. It's probebly just me but i swear it sounds better :)
