I have a Opus DAC in dual mono mode with a Metro and Ballise lite. The soundstage with this DAC is extremely wide vs my AMB y2, bordering on annoyingly so, that I think I may have some issue with the build. With my headphones sometimes it feels as if the singer is coming from behind me instead of in front, it more tolerable with speakers but doesn't feel right.
But I am wondering if I made some error, or have some type of phase issue. Anyone else notice this?

With speakers, are you getting good bass response? If not, you probably have a phase reversal somewhere.

Brian: I forgot to mention this from the SE outputs. Thanks for the super fast reply. I do get good bass response, I'll triple check the wiring in case I crossed one someplace. Edited by user Monday, October 24, 2011 2:02:56 PM(UTC)

My Opus Double mono was fantastic. Volumen trafos and a buffer . I sold it and the buyer compared it with a 20.000 dollar Dac and pre combination and they where at almost the same level. You must done something wrong.

Just re-checked all the wiring and it all appears to be in order. I'm going to sum it up as I just need to get used to the Opus's sound signature. Going to stop sweating the little things and get to enjoying some music!
